      <title>Behavior Specialist Data Collector </title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>Behavioral specialists must meet the professional education or licensure criteria in sets of requirements: </span></p> <p><span>·</span><span> Bachelor’s Degree and work under the supervision of a professional who has a master’s degree in psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or Gerontology, or who is a licensed psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, social worker (Master's level or higher) or who has a Pennsylvania Behavioral Specialist License. </span></p> <p><span>In addition to the education and licensing criteria above, behavioral specialists must also meet the following standards: </span></p> <p><span>·</span><span> Complete training in conducting and using a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA). </span></p> <p><span>·</span><span> Complete training in conducting and using a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA). </span></p> <p><span>·</span><span> Complete training in Positive Behavioral Support.</span></p> <p><b><span>Behavior Support Specialist Data Collector job duties:</span></b></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>Help Behavior Specialist with data collection, trend analysis, and work with individuals and staff.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span>Focuses on gathering and analyzing information about individuals’ behaviors, often within a therapeutic or educational setting.</span></li> <li><span>Systematically records specific instances of targeted behaviors, their frequency, duration and context, to assess progress and effectiveness or interventions.</span></li> <li><span>Observing and recording behaviors, often using specific tools and methods (e.g. frequency counts, durations recording, intervals recording).</span></li> <li><span>Accurately entering data into appropriate systems (e.g., paper-based, electronic) and maintaining organized records.</span></li> <li><span>Analyzing collected data to monitor individual progress towards goals and identify areas where adjustments may be needed.</span></li> <li><span>Working with other professionals (e.g., therapists, teachers, supervisors) to discuss data and treatment plans.</span></li> <li><span>Complete the FBA in cooperation with the individual and members of the support team and supporting documentation. &nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><b><span>The behavior support component of the individual plan shall include:</span></b></p> <p><span>1.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>The specific behavior to be addressed.</span></p> <p><span>2.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>An assessment of the behavior, including the suspected reason for the behavior and the outcome desired.</span></p> <p><span>3.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>A target date to achieve the outcome.</span></p> <p><span>4.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Types of restrictive procedures that may be used and the circumstances under which the procedures may be used.</span></p> <p><span>5.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>The amount of time the restrictive procedure may be applied.</span></p> <p><span>6.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>The name of the staff person responsible for monitoring and documenting progress with the behavior support component of the individual plan.</span></p> <p><span>7.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>If a physical restraint will be used or if a restrictive procedure will be used to modify an individual’s rights in § 6100.223(9) (relating to content of the individual plan) the behavior support component of the individual plan shall be developed by a professional who has a recognized degree, certification or license relating to behavior support.</span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Present for review and approval any plans with a restrictive component to the appropriate human rights review committee or coordinate with a Program Specialist to meet with the human rights review committee. </span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Review plan with the individual and update plans as needed. </span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Train staff in the implementation of the support plan.</span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Monitor the implementation of the plan through documentation review and regular team meetings. </span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Monitor individual and staff in homes to ensure BSP is being implemented properly.</span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Track behaviors of concern noting potential triggers, intensity, duration, and frequency.</span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Compile monthly and quarterly reviews. </span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Present restrictive plans at least every six months to the restrictive review committee.</span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Be available to staff to address questions and concerns relative to behavior, health, and safety. </span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Train staff on the symptomology of the various diagnoses that the individuals they support live with. </span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Willingness to work inside group homes should the need arise.</span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Perform other duties as required.</span></p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Keep all information concerning the company and the individuals/ coworkers confidential.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
